On
October 4, 2001, Mountain Home received a letter from the Deputy
Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) informing us that it will terminate
the management and administration of the existing DoD BPR Certification
Program. For over eight (8) years, the Assistant Secretary of Defense
(C3I) has provided unwavering support for one of the longest running
training programs in DoD.
Since 1993, the DoD BPR Certification Program had served over 300
DoD organizations and had certified over 1,200 BPR professionals,
many of whom continue to be involved in transforming the Department
into a more cost-effective, competitive enterprise. In that same
letter, the DASD also strongly encouraged Mountain Home to continue
the delivery of the current curriculum of high-quality BPR training
the Department has come to expect.
With that in mind, we are pleased to announce our commitment to
continue the delivery of the original DoD BPR Certification Program
training series under the guidance of the newly created Mountain
Home Institute for Innovative Management (MHi). Even though the name
may have changed, the high quality training you will receive through
the MHi BPR Certification Program is the same.
Mountain Home would also like to take a moment to thank all of those
who were personally involved in the development and tremendous support
of this training program. Without the support of people like Mr.
Michael Yoemans and Ms. Harriet Riofrio from DoD, the program would
never have achieved the level of success it has enjoyed over the
last eight years.
As Mountain Home looks out into the future we see an even more challenging
time for DoD. To help DoD organizations meet these challenges, we
continue to be committed to providing the most effective BPR Certification
training possible. The torch is now passed, and we are very excited
about the possibilities.
