In response to this challenge, Mountain Home launched its Business Process Reengineering (BPR) Coaching and Certification Program.  As current and former Business Leaders and Federal managers, we could identify with the marketplace challenges both business and government organizations face and the lack of an integrated approach to Transformation.  The BPR Coaching and Certification Program was created to address those frustrations.

At the heart of the Program is an integrated performance improvement methodology we call the Innovative Management Framework TM (IMF).   The IMF leads an organization through a systematic model beginning with Strategic Planning, Process Modeling & Analysis, Activity Based Cost Modeling & Analysis, Business Case Development, and Implementation by asking a series of five questions.  The answers dictate the steps needed to reach the defined end state.  To ensure the organization reaches their destination, the IMF also includes the development of an Enterprise Performance Management (Scorecard) System (cascaded throughout the organization) and the infusion of knowledge management principles which enable the organization to become a true Learning Enterprise.  The IMF methodology produces results that directly support reengineering, lean, ERP implementation, as well as other process improvement efforts ongoing across business and government and is the foundation of the current Business Process Reengineering (BPR) Certification training curriculum.

The Business Process Reengineering (BPR) Coaching & Certification Program is conducted over a six month period and is divided into two distinct phases.

Phase One:

The first phase is an initial 2-week hands-on, very intense workshop that takes place in a traditional classroom in Huntsville, Alabama.  The participant will be immersed in a series of targeted lessons that will take him/her from building an initial strategic plan (and performance scorecard system), through Process Modeling/Mapping, Activity Based Cost Modeling, Organization Culture/Technology/Structure Analysis, Process Analysis, culminating in the development of a solid, defendable Business Case Analysis.

Phase Two:

The second phase begins after the classroom workshop has been completed.  Each coaching participant will be given an individual account on Mountain Home's Student Resource Center (SRC).  The SRC serves as the "Hub" of all activity for the rest of an individual's time in the program.  Here you will find articles, white papers, presentations, downloadable tools, templates, & worksheets, online glossary, recommended reading list, webinar recordings, discussion forums, chat areas, and much more.  In fact, the entire BPR Certification training series has been recorded and will be available to each participant to go back and review any lesson as many times as you desire.  In addition, we will conduct a monthly live webinar or teleconference where we will discuss more advanced topics and provide an opportunity for participants to ask and discuss any questions they may have. Also, participants can post questions to the discussion forums or address questions directly to their BPR Leadership Coach.
